Walt’s Music: Where I Am, Where I’m Going, and Why I’m Just Getting Started

There comes a time when you have to stop saying “someday” and start saying “today.”

For me, that time is now.

Welcome to Walt’s Music.

I've been writing songs since 2013, but for years those songs mostly lived on paper, in my head, and in recordings waiting for their turn. After a lifetime of working, creating, exploring, and experiencing everything from the outdoors to business and everyday life, I've decided it's time to finally do something with all those songs.

And that's exactly what I'm doing.

Where I Am Today

I'm now releasing my original music one song at a time and sharing the journey through music videos, lyric videos, Shorts, blogs, and social media.

My first major project is the Rags to Riches album.

I've already begun releasing songs from the album, including:

Each song has its own personality and story. Some are about love and relationships. Others are about having fun, enjoying life, and those everyday moments that most of us can relate to.

The album is only the beginning.

It's More Than Country Music

One thing that makes Walt's Music different is that I don't want to be boxed into one style.

I write songs in several different categories, including:

Country • Rock • Beach Music • Football • Golf • Hunting • Fishing

Some songs are serious. Some are funny. Some are romantic. Some are made to sing along with, dance to, work out to, or simply crank up while you're driving down the road.

There's a little bit of everything because that's what life is—a little bit of this, that, and the other.

Where I'm Going

My goal is to build Walt's Music into a home for original music and original stories.

That means more singles.

More albums.

More music videos.

More Shorts.

More stories.

And eventually, music in all of the categories I've been writing about for years.

I'm not trying to be something I'm not. I'm simply taking the experiences I've collected throughout my life and turning them into songs.

I've hunted. I've fished. I've golfed. I've worked with my hands. I've built things. I've invented things. I worked as an upholsterer when I was younger and spent more than 25 years in sales, meeting people from all walks of life.

Those experiences have given me plenty to write about.

And I'm just getting started.

There's Another Part of Walt's Music

I don't only write songs for myself.

I also write custom songs.

Have a birthday coming up? A wedding? Anniversary? Retirement? Family story? Hunting trip? Golf outing? Fishing trip? Business? Club? Special event?

Maybe there's a story in your life that deserves to become a song.

That's something I love doing—taking someone's idea, memory, personality, or story and turning it into something they can actually hear and keep forever.

If you've got a story, I've got a song to write.

The Road Ahead

I don't know exactly where this road is going to take me.

And honestly, that's part of the fun.

What I do know is that I have a lot more songs to share.

The Rags to Riches album is still unfolding, and there are more releases coming. After that, there are other albums, other genres, other stories, and a whole lot more music waiting in the wings.
